CELEBRATING OUR 15TH SEASON!
"I really think that if all children were able to be in a choir like this the world would be perfect."
Choir member, 2006.
"This is a phenomenal model for truly building community through the arts!"
2007 Wisconsin Arts Board panelist.
"I sat in on a bit of last night's rehearsal. They sound fabulous, I don't know how I will get through any performance without a tear or two. And I love that my daughter is loving it. I watched last night as she was moving between rooms and talking to kids I have never seen before, forging all these new friendships. What a gift to be part of this choir. Thank you for all your work, it is so fun to watch her grow!"
Choir parent, fall 2007.
"The singers were impeccably prepared, cheerfully cooperative and visually excellent on stage, and they stole our hearts."
Master Singers of Milwaukee, 2007.
"I am so grateful for the Milwaukee Children's Choir and what they and all their adult supporters are doing to make the world a better place by filling the air with music, nourishing hungry souls, striving to become all that they can be."
Choir parent, 2007.
"Thank you to the Children's Choir for the fantastic job you did at our dinner! There have been many positive comments about your group. Thank you again for your help in coordinating the event."
Big Brothers & Big Sisters Special Events Coordinator, fall 2007.
"I just wanted to say 'thank you' for not only giving me the gift of my love for music, but for encouraging me over the years to be a more open person and just a better friend to people with the aid of music."
MCC alumna, 2005.
"I love U, MCC!"
Choir member, 2006.
"I was so thrilled with the way MCC performed for us during Midsummer Night's Dream, and I appreciate the first-rate preparation and professionalism your young people demonstrated throughout the run. This was a ballet where everything needed to be magical, and MCC's performance rose easily to the challenge and contributed a great deal to that outcome. I certainly look forward to when we can collaborate again."
Andrews Sill, Music Director, Milwaukee Ballet.
"Every day I see the difference MCC makes in the lives of students I teach in the classroom. MCC members are students who understand and love music more fully. Students who are more eager to share answers and ideas. Students who sit a little taller and sing with more confidence and passion."
Grade school music specialist.
"She is the happiest child when she comes out of your class!"
Choir parent, 2007.
"He found kids with a mutual interest and adults with a spirit of fun."
Choir parent, 2006.
"MCC was one of the most influential experiences I've had. I started singing with MCC in second grade and continued for ten years. I had the privilege of learning how to sing, read music, and perform with great conductors, and had the opportunity to perform around the U.S. and in Europe. Today I live in the area and sing with the Milwaukee Symphony Chorus. I compose music for a marketing company and teach children and adults how to sing and perform. Thank you MCC, for your dedication and the hard work you do for children who believe that music is the window to the soul!"
Choir alumni, 2007.
"Just wanted to send a quick note to let you know how much our whole family enjoyed the Pajama Jamboree. First of all, thank you so much for the warm welcome when the girls first arrived, it touched them and always means a lot to have a human connection when you're part of a large group. This is what sets their experience with you and MCC apart from their past experiences. The girls had lots of FUN and were thrilled to sing with a real symphony."
Concert Choir parent, 2007.
"I really want to thank you for what you have given my granddaughter these past four years. It's made such a difference in her self confidence along with her ability to sing and confidence when performing and as a bonus it gave her grandmother a chance to spend quality time with her weekly. I would highly recommend this to all grandparents!"
Grandparent, summer 2007.
