Milwaukee Children's Choir depends on the dedication and energy of many volunteers to help with the countless events & more behind the scenes work than meets the eye. We welcome all interested parents, alumni, and members of the community.  We do also offer select opportuntities for high school students wishing to complete service hours. Volunteers are requested on each event's permission slip.

Rehearsal Assistant
Help at weekly rehearsals taking attendance, supervising singers, dismissing singers to parents, distributing and collecting music, collecting forms for the office, etc.  Please make a commitment for the entire choral season. NOTE: All 2016-2017 Rehearsal Assistant positions are currently filled.

Visiting Choir Coordinator
Work with Artistic Director to coordinate lodging, provide for refreshments, setup and cleanup at visiting choir dinners and other events. 


CONCERT VOLUNTEERS     We need assist with these items at each scheduled performance.

Bake cookies and/or help sell concessions at concerts.

Concert Volunteer
Help greet and seat audience, staff the box office and clean-up at our self-produced concerts.

Do you have a large truck or enclosed trailer that could be used to haul choral risers to and from performance venues?  If so, we need you!

Photographer-Take photographs at Milwaukee Children's Choir events and rehearsals as assigned and share photos with the Milwaukee Children's Choir office. Use your own equipment or borrow ours.

Take video footage at Milwaukee Children's Choir events and rehearsals as assigned and share footage with the MCC office. Use your own equipment or borrow ours.


MARKETING         Don't have a ton of time, but still want to help out?

Concert Poster and Brochure Distribution
How did your family hear about MCC? Do you have an idea on where some posters/flyers might get some attention of families with kids? Spread the word in your community about Milwaukee Children's Choir membership and concerts and events.  Help is needed to hang posters/flyers, and distribute brochures to schools covering suburbs in a 5-county area. Please contact us if you are available or have ideas on locations.

Marketing Table Volunteer
Market MCC at various events throughout the season.  Are you passionate about what the MCC experience has done for your child? Then this is for you!! Pick up marketing kit at MCC offices & set up/take down booth at various community events. Offer brochures; talk with families that are interested in Milwaukee Children's Choir. 


OFFICE HELP    Are your kids off at school & you are looking for a way to help out??? Then this is for you!

Office Volunteer
Assist with office work on a fairly consistent basis or be on call for special projects throughout the year; perhaps 2-4 hours per week or bi-weekly.  Volunteers will work with bulk mailings, copying, collating, answering phones, making calls, etc. Timing is very flexible.

Music Folders and Music Library Helper
Help distribute, fill and collect music folders. Need help several times a year: late August/early September, mid-December, early January, and late May/June.  Mark and shelve choral music on special library days or, once trained, work as your schedule permits.


UPAF RIDE FOR THE ARTS   UPAF Ride for the Arts, First Sunday in June each year.  This annual event benefits the United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF) and, in turn, Milwaukee Children’s Choir!  Volunteer in one of two ways:

Bike Riders
Join MCC’s bike team. You choose route length.

MCC UPAF Champion Work within the Development Council for MCC to coordinate MCC's volunteer presence in both pre-event activities & day of volunteers. CURRENTLY SEEKING CANDIDATE FOR JUNE 2017 ride!

Non-Rider Volunteers
Assist UPAF the day of or in preparation of the ride.
